I have a very diverse background in the music business.
As a producer/engineer, I’ve worked with a multitude of artists in various capacities. As the music business has continued to shift in recent years, most of my work has focused on independent artists/record labels in the U.S., U.K. and Latin America. This work includes recording, editing, mixing, mastering, producing, and consulting.
Before moving back to Nashville in 2006 I co-owned Ridenour Studios, one of the largest recording and rehearsal studios in Florida, whose clients included New Found Glory, Foreigner, Ricky Martin, Joey Kramer (Aerosmith), Steve Winwood and Johnny Depp.
As a sound designer, I have produced and consulted on software development for a variety of high-profile audio technology companies including IK Multimedia and Sonic Reality.
I’m regular writer on music technology for Recording Magazine and have been a principal consultant for numerous independent record labels.
Additionally, I’m a certified Pro Tools “Expert” by Digidesign and a guest lecturer at numerous universities across the U.S. including Pro Media Training, MTSU, Berklee, NYU, Milligan College, Belmont, SAE, and FullSail.
I’m currently based out of Java Jive Studio in Nashville, TN.
